On May 1st 2019, Deltamine's Allen Ureta participated in the itSMF NY Metro Local Interest Group Event speaking on ITIL® 4 vs ITIL® v3 – Transitioning from Service Lifecycle to Service Value Chain, highlighting the differences, similarities and evolution between and from ITIL® v3 and ITIL® 4.  In particularly, what does the updated best practice mean for IT Operations Practitioners. Of interest was the placement of the v3 lifecycle in the ITIL 4 service value chain; the transition from 26 ITIL v3 processes to 34 ITIL 4 practices; and the modeling of the organization considering the four dimensions outlined in ITIL 4.

We would like to thank all who attended the event, the discussions during the Question and Answers were insightful and helped to highlight some of the aspects of the updated framework that addressed previous concerns, and some areas that may still need to be expanded on.
